About
Thejas Mirle (b. 2004) loves telling stories through music. He is fascinated with creating narratives through sound and transporting his audience to new worlds. He has collaborated with performers and ensembles including the IU Symphony Orchestra, IU Ballet Department, CORVIS ensemble, UCLA Extension, Troy High School Symphony Band, Jazz Ensemble, Trumpet Choir, and Marching Band.
His choral piece The Sighing Mists was selected as a winning composition in the annual IU NOTES composers' board piece. His concert band piece, A Christmas Walk, won numerous awards including recognition by the Royal Oak Musicale, the Troy High School Learned Resources Musicianship Award, and the Patrick S. Gilmore Award.
He is the founder and CEO of Jambo Studios LLC, writing award-winning music for films and projects reaching audiences worldwide. Thejas counts celebrated composers and musicians Ian Krouse, Don Freund, PQ Phan, and Han Lash among his teachers. He is currently studying Music Composition and Computer Science at the Jacobs School of Music.
